Notifications in private Slack channels
GitDailies can send alerts and reports to private Slack channels (as well as the usual shared channels or DMs).To use a private channel, follow these steps:
Install the GitDailies App for Slack
If the GitDailies App for Slack is not already installed in your Slack workspaace, follow the instructions to install it.
Link your User
Link your Slack user to your GitDailies user.
Invite GitDailies
In Slack, invite the GitDailies App to the private channel.
The private channel will now be available when setting up notifications for a Report or Alert in GitDailies. .
Linking your Slack and GitDailies user accounts is essential. (See Step 2, above.)
This allows GitDailies to confirm that both you and the GitDailies App have access to the private channel.
